– Extensive involvement in key Policy Formulation in Government/ Ministry of Steel on Growth & Development of Indian Steel Industry, Energy & Environment management, R&D and Technology Development, National Steel Policy, Bench-marking and assessment of ISPs, Standardization and Quality Control /Technical Regulation,, Problems & Prospects and Administration of all technological issues concerning iron & steel industry.
– Technical Authority in the Ministry of Steel rendering technical advice to all Ministries/ Government Departments on iron & steel matters.
– As Industrial Adviser, Ministry of Steel , Government of India steered all Research & Development and Energy & Environment Management matter in steel sector in India .
– Led Indian delegation abroad to participate in meetings /workshops on energy & environment issues and Co-chaired meetings APP-Steel Task Force Meetings at international level. Participated in Global Superior Energy Performance Partnership (GSEP)- Steel Working Group meetings.
– Involved in Formulation /amendment/revision of Indian Standards and implementation of Mandatory Product Quality Certification Marks Scheme of BIS under the Quality Control Orders issued by Ministry of Steel, Government of India.
– Headed the Project Management Cell (PMC) of the UNDP-GEF Project (Steel) and UNDP- Ausaid Projects executed by Ministry of Steel & UNDP as National Project Coordinator with exemplary results in terms of improvement in energy efficiency improvement and GHG reduction .
